Vandals painted a swastika on the memory stone at Babi Yar in Ukraine
Workers historical and memorial preserve "Babi Yar" found a swastika painted on the stone of memory. About it informs the public organization.

During the German occupation of Kiev in 1941-1943 the Babi Yar ravine in the North-West of the city became a place of mass executions by the Nazis peaceful inhabitants and Soviet prisoners of war. Only 29 and 30 September 1941 there were shot almost 34 thousand people.

The reserve Director Boris Glazunov stresses that in recent months "Babi Yar" many times were recorded cases of vandalism.

"National reserve many times appealed to the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv police Department, to the law enforcement and city government facilitated the establishment of surveillance cameras and permanent police posts where there are memorials," said Glazunov.

Until now the treatment of Jewish organizations and the management of the reserve remained without a response, he added: " We are committed acts of vandalism, there is constant monitoring, But nothing changes. Most likely, the police simply can not cope with this task. But we are very hopeful that now the time has come to solve this problem ".
yesterday the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops, unidentified threw Molotov cocktails at the house of the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, located within the reserve. The Church building had been destroyed.
