German ex-diplomat: the West must understand the fears of Russia
The West must take into account the wishes of Russia and to take seriously its concerns on the issue of NATO's policies, says a German lawyer and Former diplomat Frank Elbe. His message published print edition.

"Is it bad if the fears of the Russian government on the issue of deterrence NATO seriously?", asks a Former diplomat.

Elba admits that the annexation of Crimea to Russia could not be, if the new government in Kiev would not show hostility to Russia and to challenge the status of the Russian language in Ukraine.

in addition, the Elbe believes that the West should not be blamed for the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict in the Russian Federation: it is necessary to pay attention to out observations of Kiev radicals, which for a peaceful resolution of the conflict is achieved. Former diplomat recalls that the new Ukrainian government is responsible for the appearance of these radicals.

From His point of view, the Western partners do not believe that a "common European house" for the Russian Federation is the place. In His view, the current situation in relations between Russia and the West creates " confusion and fear, while the unity of the EU on the anti-punishment begins to weaken. Former diplomat recalls that security in the European Union can be achieved only together With Russia, not against it."

Elba adds that the diplomatic approach requires " condemn violations of international law." However, in the list of countries that violate them, there is the ally of Germany, the U.S., whose conduct in this matter, sometimes it was " extremely cynical ", says Former diplomat.

for example, according to Him, the United States retains the right to violate the territorial integrity of other countries in Accordance With the so-called Act on the protection of American soldiers (ASPA). This law allows US to "liberate" their war in custody of the Hague Tribunal. So, considers the Elbe, USA "officially" support double standards.
