The EC considered economically viable project " Turkish stream
Zam. the President of the European Commission (EC) on Energy Union Maros Sefcovic said that the Russian project of gas supply to Turkey instead of "South stream" is " economically untenable ".

On Tuesday it was announced that the Russian Federation and Turkey started to implement the technical part of the project " Turkish stream. On the same day, the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller said that the project " South stream is closed, for Europe there are no other options for removing the risks of transit through Ukraine, in addition to the new pipeline to the Turkish stream. December 8, Gazprom announced the creation of the enterprise for the construction of a gas pipeline to Turkey. The head of centuries Putin on 1 December said that the Russian Federation may not in current conditions to continue implementation of the " South stream ". Instead Moscow and Ankara have agreed on the construction of an offshore pipeline in Turkey. It is planned that the Russian Federation will supply energy in Turkey, which will sell gas from Russia to the countries concerned.
