Kiev was opened by the European Commission access to the CTA for monitoring the flow of gas transit

MOSCOW, 13 Feb - RIA Novosti/Prime. The operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine PJSC "Ukrtransgaz" opened the access of observers from the Commission to the GTS objects, according to a press release of " Naftogaz of Ukraine ".

in addition, Ukrtransgas began daily data transfer applications for the transportation of gas from Russia to the European Union, the actual amounts of his receipts and actual volumes transported for the EU and Ukraine.

"Unhindered access authorized the European Commission to the GTS objects and data is the best demonstration of our commitment to transparency. We provide reliable gas supplies from Russia through Ukraine to European consumers ", - said the head of the Board of Naftogaz Andrey Korolev, whose words are given in the message.

Korolev by the end of 2014, speaking in Brussels, announced the intention of "Naftogaz" to invite observers from the European Commission to monitor the transit of Russian gas supplies to European countries, " to ensure that it will not be a repeat of 2009 ".

in early 2009, when Gazprom has stopped gas supplies to Ukraine because of non-payment, the country began unauthorized extraction of gas from the transit volumes, intended for European customers. Kiev this case is denied, however, Gazprom recorded the discrepancies in the volume of gas entering the Ukrainian gas transport system and leaving it in the direction of Europe.

The conflict was resolved on January 19, 2009 by signing a 10-year contract on gas supply from Russia to Ukraine and its transit through Ukraine to the European Union.
