The socialists in Varna staged a protest against the war in Ukraine
More than 400 people gathered in front of the regional administration of the Bulgarian city of Varna, to protest against the war in Ukraine.

Demonstrators chanted the slogan "No war in Ukraine" and " punishment destroy tourism in Varna!" The assembled crowd chanted " we wish the world ", " there is No punishment for South stream. The action was organized by the Bulgarian socialist party (BSP), reported in communicating information portal news Bulgaria, which released footage from a place of protest.

the same protest (BSP) was held in Sofia near the presidential administration on 10 February. The protesters objected to the participation of Bulgaria in the military support of Ukraine, and also demanded to put an end to the anti-Russian policy.

Russia announced the failure of the construction of the gas pipeline " South stream ", which was obliged to pass under the Black sea through Bulgaria to deliver fuel in the Balkan Republic and Hungary, Austria and Italy. The project was minimized, and among them, due to the unconstructive position of the European Union. Instead it was decided to build a pipe in Turkey and to make on a boundary line with Greece's gas hub for customers in southern Europe.
