Russian inspectors will make an observation flight over Italy
A group of Russian inspectors will conduct an observation flight over the territory of Italy in the framework of the implementation of the Treaty on open skies, told reporters the head of the national Center for reducing nuclear danger Sergey Ryzhkov.

This flight will be the fourth for the Russian Federation on the territories of the States parties to the Treaty in 2015.

"in the framework of the implementation of the international Treaty on open skies, the Russian Team's audit plans to do a sightseeing flight on the Russian Antonov An-30B over the territory of the Italian Republic," said Ryzhkov.

He added that observation flight will be held from 16 to 20 February and will be performed from the airport Rome Ciampino airport with the greatest range of up to 2015 kilometers.

The open skies Treaty gives countries the right under the agreed quotas to make flights of any of the territories of one another to monitor military activities. The agreement regulates the conduct of flight operations requirements aeroplane and Supervisory equipment. The Contract includes the vast number of NATO countries, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and neutral Sweden and Finland.
