Saveliev: after a year of Crimea will be available from the Kuban 400-500 MW of power
The Crimean Peninsula is experiencing an energy shortage due to the rupture of economic ties with Ukraine and the continuation of the transition period for entry into the economic system of Russia, in early 2016 will be able to get from the Krasnodar region on cable transition along the bottom of the Kerch Strait electricity in the volume of 400-500 MW, said the head of the Ministry of Crimea Oleg Saveliev.

"in the first decade of 2016 we will be able to receive a flow of about 400 and even five hundred megawatts with the Krasnodar side," said Savelyev, speaking at a meeting in the Federation Council, which discussed the results of using regions to cities and districts of the Crimea and Sevastopol.

today, the supply of electricity is carried out in the Crimea only from Ukraine. At the end of last year Ukraine was limited and some times even completely stopped the supply of electricity in the Crimea. The construction of the energy bridge will give the opportunity to make an alternative.

Crimea and Sevastopol became the Russian regions after held there in March 2014 referendum in which an overwhelming number of residents were in favour of joining the Federation. Kiev, despite the results of the referendum, still considers the Crimea territory.

the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has stated many times that the residents of the Crimea in a democratic way, in full accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations voted for reunification with Russia, respecting and accepting this choice, and this decision is the reality with which we must reckon. Moscow was named the West's response to the Crimea in the Russian Federation is absolutely inadequate to what it was, because the norms of international law were not violated.
