Hatoyama: referendum in Crimea compliance with the norms of international law
Former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama during a visit to the Crimea became convinced that the referendum on the Peninsula in 2014 was held in Accordance with the Ukrainian Constitution and international norms.

at a meeting with state Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin in the capital of Russia Hatoyama said that the West is frequently heard criticism about the fact that the Crimean referendum passed with infractions of the Ukrainian law and norms of international law.

"But in the course of communication with representatives of different sectors of society in the Crimea, I was convinced, because it is not true. Crimean referendum was consistent with the Ukrainian Constitution and the norms of international law, " said Hatoyama.

according to him, residents of the Crimea personal example has shown that all problems should be solved not through armed confrontation, but through dialogue and peaceful cooperation.
