Deputy Secretary General: NATO "concerned" by the situation with human rights in Crimea
Natalia Dobrovolskaya. NATO is deeply concerned about the deteriorating situation of human rights in Crimea, wrote to Deputy Commonwealth Secretary-General Alexander Vershbow on the results of the meeting with the Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev in Brussels.

"NATO deeply concerned about the deteriorating situation of human rights in Crimea. The oppression of the Tatars and other in Crimea, politically motivated arrests and processes, the seizure of land and loss of concern, " said Vershbow.

in Crimea there are about 260 thousand Crimean Tatars. After the annexation of Crimea to Russia in March 2014, in practice, 100% of Crimean Tatars received passports of Russian citizens, they are also widely represented in government. According to the Constitution of the Crimea, the status of state languages assigned to Russian, Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian languages.

Crimea and Sevastopol 16 March emphasize the 1-year anniversary of the referendum in which an overwhelming number of voters voted for secession from Ukraine and reunification with Russia. In Crimea for entering the Russian Federation voted 96, 77%, in Sevastopol - 95, 6%.
