The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes the Verkhovna Rada to immediately denounce the agreement with Russia on the completion of the 3rd and 4th units at Khmelnitsky NPP, said Wednesday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The government of Ukraine has decided to denounce the agreement between Ukraine and Russia on the completion of the 3rd and 4th units at Khmelnitsky NPP, notified on the Internet office of the Ukrainian government.
Yatsenyuk said that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to denounce the Treaty " in connection with the failure to perform obligations by the Russian Federation, which She took, according to the agreement ". As reported by the print edition OPINION, in March, Ukraine signed a Memorandum with the Polish company, saying that together they will complete two units of Khmelnitsky NPP without Russia. The project participants are going to introduce in the use of overhead lines 750 kV Khmelnitsky NPP – Rzeszow (Poland). The agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on cooperation in the construction of the 3rd and 4th power units of Khmelnitsky NPP was signed in Kyiv in June 2010. In February 2011, Energoatom and Russia's Atomstroyexport signed a contract agreement on the development of the design of reactor units VVER-1000 V-392 and supply reactor equipment for future units.
