Council of Europe Secretary General: decentralization in Ukraine can help the Minsk process
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe thorbj?rn Jagland hoped that the decisions taken yesterday by the Ukrainian constitutional Commission amendments on decentralization of the country will contribute to advance the Minsk process.
The constitutional Commission on the last working day of the week approved the Draft changes to the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of the decentralization of power and sent the document to the President. The draft changes to the Constitution of Ukraine does not provide for a special status for certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but only prescribes that He be Appointed a special legislative act.
