Retired Italians upstaged Navka and Kostomarov

World champions Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov were unexpectedly upstaged by Italians Barbara Fusar Poli and Maurizio Margaglio, who returned from retirement to lead the ice dancing event at the Winter Olympics.

Another Russian skiers suspended from competition

The tests showed that two Russian skiers Nikolai Pankratov and Natalia Matveyeva had an abnormally high red blood cell count, informed the Russian ski team manager Yury Charkovsky. Thus Pankratov can not participate in 15km classical today, for which he had been declared.
