Parents chained their adopted son-schizophrenic to a radiator
A court in the Rostov Region, in southern Russia, has found a couple guilty of cruelty after they chained their disabled adopted son to a radiator, the region`s prosecutors said Monday.

The couple failed to give their son, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia, proper medical treatment chaining him to a radiator at night so that he could not run away.

The woman received a year`s community service, while her husband was sentenced to 180 hours of compulsory labor.

Prosecutors requested that a trial be held, in order to terminate the couple`s parental rights.
