Russia transferred 235 millions rubles to Ukraine for Fleet
235 millions rubles from Russian budget will be spent on financing of social development programs in Ukrainian settlements, where military units of Black Sea Fleet are located. This sum also includes refund of charges from local budgets, connected with realization of Black Sea Fleet servicemen`s and members` of their family equal with Ukrainian citizens right for education in local educational institutions, health protection and other social services.
Yekhanurov comes to Moscow for gas talks
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yury Yekhanurov arrived in Moscow on talks concerning power supply. The question of gas supply is to be discussed at the meeting between Yury Yekhanurov and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov. Gazprom representatives has already declared that the price of gas will not be fixed in 2006. The price formula for future supplies is to correspond to the similar European price formulas. Thus, price of gas for Ukraine will depend on price of oil and oil products at European markets. Gazprom officials notes, that this type of price formation is an absolutely transparent mechanism, independent of initiatives and offers of the gas company.
High inflation - result of games with oil-dollars
Extremely high inflation this year is the result of excessive spending of oil-dollars, informed minister of finances Aleksey Kudrin. "Inflation level of 11% means that we spent lots of oil money in Russia", - said Kudrin, noting that in other oil-producing countries inflation is less than 3-4%.
